AIAN: Cronbach's alpha range | Not yet available |
AIAN: Evidence of validity | Not yet available |
Other populations: Cronbach's alpha range | Test-retest reliability: the EC and ED subscales demonstrated moderately stability (r = .63 and r = .58, respectively) over the course of 6 months (Lagace-Seguin & Coplan, 2005). |
Other populations: Evidence of validity | Lagacé‐Séguin and Coplan (2005) assessed the factor structure of the MESQ and reduced the number of items from the original 45 (Gottman, 1999) to 22. They also confirmed the factor structure of two scales: EC and ED. Next, they found that MESQ scales correlated in expected ways with parenting goals and showed convergent validity with the meta-emotiona interview. |
